Popular Comic Strip "Tom the Dancing Bug" Celebrates 20 Years with AMU
Kansas City, MO (June 29, 2017)—Andrews McMeel is excited to celebrate 20 years of Ruben Bolling's popular comic strip Tom the Dancing Bug. Launched in 1990 and acquired by Andrews McMeel in 1997, Tom the Dancing Bug is featured in several noteworthy publications nationwide, including The Dallas Observer, SF Weekly, The Village Voice, The Washington Post, and The New York Times.
Known for its smart humor and biting political commentary, Tom the Dancing Bug and Ruben Bolling have received much praise and recently won the 2017 Herblock Prize for editorial cartooning as well as a Reuben Award for "Best Short Form Online Comic" for his work on Donald & John.
