Non Sequitur Creator Wiley Miller Donates Comic Strip to Tails of Joy

Kansas City, MO – Non Sequitur creator Wiley Miller has donated the original art for his October 22, 2017, comic strip for auction on eBay to benefit Tails of Joy, an animal rescue organization founded by comedian, writer, and animal activist Elayne Boosler.  Non Sequitur features Miller’s wry look at the absurdities of everyday life, and is syndicated in more than 700 newspapers by Andrews McMeel Syndication (AMS) and online at GoComics.com.

The auction -- goo.gl/HRtJrM -- will be live through October 29.  While the auction is live, GoComics.com will feature a curated collection of some of Ms. Boosler’s favorite animal rescue and animal-related comics, with entertaining editorial notations by Boosler.

Wiley Miller was awarded the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year, the most prestigious in cartooning, in 2013.  Non Sequitur has also received four National Cartoonists Society divisional awards.  It is the only comic strip to win the coveted award in its first year of syndication, and the only one ever to win in both the best comic strip and best comic panel categories.  Creative and clever, Non Sequitur tackles current cultural issues such as politics, celebrities, male-female relationships, materialistic desires and society's obsession with weight.

Tails of Joy, now in its 16th year, is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that raises funds for the smallest, most needy rescue organizations across the United States and beyond.  It saves desperate animals with nowhere else to go that would otherwise fall through the cracks.  It also helps people with pet emergencies.  It is a wholly volunteer organization; 100% of every dollar raised goes to rescuing animals.  The funds raised from this Non Sequitur auction will save animals on their last day at the pound, pay for medicines, food, vet bills, spay/neuter and so much more.
