Scott Adams was born in Windham, N.Y., in 1957. He grew up a big fan of the Peanuts comics and started drawing his own comics at the age of six. He graduated from Hartwick College with a B.A. in economics and earned an MBA at the University of California, Berkeley. Adams has won the National Cartoonists Society's Reuben Award for Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year and the award for Best Newspaper Comic Strip. Expanding on Dilbert’s comic strip success, more than 40 Dilbert reprint books have been published, with Adams’ book “The Dilbert Principle” landing on The New York Times best-sellers list. Total book and calendar sales have exceeded 20 million units.
